A freestanding metal cutout sculpture with two groups of runners, male and female. The runners are situated in two layers, much like the larger wall sculptures by Gerstein. Run For Your Freedom is one of the only two-layer small objects, With six runners on each layer, we get a feeling of movement and strength, which is always prominent in Gerstein's works. This piece could easily fit on any table or standard-size shelf.

David Gerstein was born in Jerusalem, in 1944.
Studied and taught at the Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem; Beaux-Arts, Paris; Art Students' League, N.Y; St. Martin's, London.
Exhibited in one-man shows at the Israel Museum, Haifa Museum, and Herzeliya Museum, and at countless public and private galleries in Israel, Europe and America.
